Centrifugal Pumps – Process Fluids

Centrifugal pumps, single to multistage, are the most common machines within process industries and utilities. A Process – Equipment – Optimization review can give large energy savings (20-50%) and much improved reliability. This as pumps are commonly oversized in the selection process and therefor work significantly off the best efficiency point and off the best reliability point.

In addition design, flow rate, head, sealings, bearings, process fluid, impeller type and size, lubrication, seal flushing, rotating speed, material selection, setup, piping etc. should be reviewed to get a reliable installation.
